New Air Transat maintenance hangar

The construction challenge was defined by the complexity of the 230 feet (70 m) long span truss used to support the lifting door located 85 feet (26 m) over ground level.

Several trusses and horizontal, vertical, and diagonal frames were required to hold the weight of the door and sustain the wind charges. A severe tolerance was required to limit the deviations of the door support.

This project also earned an honourable mention given by the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction.
